As someone fully on board with the sandwich era (and a frequent sandwich shop visitor), I can confidently say Sandwich Lab is a standout favourite. The menu hits that sweet spot between creativity and comfort—every sandwich feels carefully crafted, not just thrown together. The ingredients were fresh, the bread was spot-on, and the flavour combinations actually deliver. Bonus points for great coffee too—smooth and well made, not just an afterthought. Rockdale is lucky to have this gem, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for any fellow sandwich lover

Tucked down the lane way, but worth seeking out - best coffee I've had in a long time, and the breakfast was delicious. A lovely girl served me, and seemed genuinely invested in my enjoyment of the food. Highly recommend

I visited Sandwich Lab last weekend and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of their food. I had the Maxi, which was outstanding, and my friend enjoyed the homemade meatball sub, which they highly recommended. The coffee was also excellent and complemented the sandwiches perfectly. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The clean, well-maintained space creates a welcoming atmosphere. I'm not really the reviewing type but I have to put this down on virtual paper and add my 5 stars onto the pile. Look, all of the Rockdale OGs know that the cafes that have occupied this spot have been absolute bangers for at least the last decade, if not longer. Rockdale has been spoilt rotten with good cafes for the past decade or so, so we know a good cafe when we see one. With that said, Sandwich Lab is comfortably the best cafe I've ever been to in Rockdale, and easily the best sandwich place I've been to in Sydney. I have tried most of the stuff on the menu and literally everything I have tried is unbelievable. If I had to choose a favourite, I would be choosing the Grilled Chicken sandwich for lunch, but if you go down there before 11am you can get the Bacon & Egg breaky roll. Unbelievable. The Pulled Beef Reuben sandwich is also incredible. The triple cheese mushroom sandwich has Portobello mushrooms on it. Yeeesssss. If I could give place this 6 stars, I would. Super friendly staff, great vibe and Avi is absolutely killing it with the sandwiches. Keep it up!

It may be kind of hard to find. It's at the alley lane next to CBA. Make your way through the lane and you will definitely won't miss it. This cafe offers matcha drink. Hard to find cafe who has this on their menu and also same time does it right. Matcha latte with honey and optional for dash of cinnamon. We have kiddos who are bored of the only option hot chocolate at most cafes. Happy to find a cafe like this. Arvi is awesome and super friendly. Oh ya don't forget to check out their cookies. Super yum too!! Sorry to photo of the cookies. We finished it before remembering to take photo.
